Celebrating Eid!

Pronounced “eed” (like “lead” and “feed”), Eid refers to a Muslim holiday. Eid Al-Adha, which we celebrated the week of November 14th, marked the Feast of the Sacrifice following the Hajj, or the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide. This differs from Eid Al-Fitr, which comes at the end of Ramadan.

While not Muslims, we were able to celebrate through a several day break in Dubai. It appears as if we were not alone in our thinking, as many families, tourists and couples were enjoying the area called Dubai Marina. Check out the highlights below from our time in the Marina, and then a trip to Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah man-made island for some water-park fun.
