The fourth of the Big 5 on the list was the leopard. These cats can be a bit hard to find, but with determination and savvy, our fearless leaders Greg and Dan spotted them on several occasions. What immediately struck us was how beautiful their coats were – shining in the African sun. While we wanted to cuddle up with these cats as they lounged in a field or run alongside when they explored the bush, we were reminded that these are actual ferocius animals and not kittens to adopt.<\/p>\n

As a reward for our guides’ great efforts, we toasted them at happy hour with Black Mamba shooters (Sambucca Black and Amarula, the African Bailey’s). Ah, the rough life…<\/p>\n
