Out of all the Big 5 animals, we spent the most time with the lions, seeing them every day. They were easy to catch up with, as they had killed a buffalo a few days before our arrival and had gorged on it for days – leaving them stuffed and sleepy.<\/p>\n

We saw the whole gang, including three males, two females, two cubs and one baby cub throughout the days and nights.<\/p>\n

After our final night sighting of the lion, we were treated to a surprise in our room. We mentioned prior to arrival that we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary (albeit 6 weeks prior!), and they had created a romantic environment, complete with candles and a drawn bath after another hard day in the bush…<\/p>\n
