It’s November and that means the world’s best Formula One drivers descend on Abu Dhabi for the last race of the year. But as exciting as the racing is, the real highlight of F1 weekend, IMO, was the concerts held after each day of racing. Could this year’s acts top last year’s solid line-up<\/a>? We were skeptical, but thanks to a Beatle, we can safely say it was!<\/p>\n

Our quick reviews of the four acts:<\/p>\n

Britney (Day 1)<\/strong> – Her mic was only turned on to yell “What’s up Abu Dhabi” three times. The rest of the show was lip-synced, which automatically makes a show terrible. Just rubbish (one of my favorite British terms I’ve learned since being here). <\/p>\n

The Cult (Day 2)<\/strong> – They were looking a little old, but brought a good energy and sounded pretty good. Not sure everyone in the crowd knew what to make of classic 80s metal though.<\/p>\n

Incubus (Day 2)<\/strong> – The second rock band on Saturday night sounded good and had a nice song selection. The crowd definitely was more familiar with their songs than with The Cult.<\/p>\n

Paul McCartney (Day 3)<\/strong> – Expectations were incredibly high for the former Beatle and rock icon, but he nailed it! Easily one of the best shows we’ve ever seen. He tapped into a solid selection of his immense catalog and had the crowd in his hands from start to finish! This three-hour set was unforgettable, and even included fireworks during his rendition of Live and Let Die.<\/p>\n
