Colin &#8211; while chasing birds around a fountain at Power Plant Live &#8211; tripped and braced his fall on a manhole cover. He screamed out in pain, and it turns out he got second-degree burns on the palms of his hands. There was no indication the cover was hot &#8211; no steam, no extreme sunny weather. So, be careful with your kids playing around them.<\/p>\n<p>He was a real trooper, spending 24 hours in the children&#8217;s wing of Johns Hopkins Medical Center. It was a gorgeous facility, funded by Michael Bloomberg and the UAE&#8217;s own Sheikh Zayed, with amazing staff to make the stay and follow-up visits as smooth as they could be.<\/p>\n<div
