Despite frigid temperatures, we did get outside while hanging at our favorite area cabin in February. The ice made for some interesting travels, but it was a successful way to get rid of the wiggles and burn some energy!

Happy 2021!

We escaped home to ring in the New Year in the outskirts of Luray, VA. Our cabin had great views, and the required hot tub for “relaxing” as a family. Colin marked a momentous occasion – making it to midnight for the first time to ring in a new year.

It was a long few months, but we did a rare repeat trip somewhere – enjoying more of the cabin life in Shenandoah, VA. With the cooler temps this time around, we appreciated the hot tub and roasting s’mores even more. Plus the leaves changing made for a very picturesque backdrop on a hike!

Back in the Woods

We had such an amazing time our first weekend away since the pandemic hit, that we booked another stay at a different cabin a month later. While it was a new locale, Luray, we of course took advantage of the “usuals” – s’mores, hot tub and just getting away from it all!
