Another fall season, and another great day spent at Cox Farms with cousins! It was sunnier and warmer than last year, but the hayride, apple cider doughnuts and pumpkin picking got us in the mood for the best season of the year!

Time at the County Fair!
Arlington County puts on a good fair, and we enjoyed as much as we could during yet another year! It was a hot one, but it didn’t stop the rides, games and pursuit of as much free junk as possible with the Kohr buddies.
Best of the Rest (of Boston)
We had a great 4th of July weekend in Boston, but spent more of the second half of the trip indoors as the heat truly set in and a rainy evening cooled and wet things down.
Boston Means Food, Fun and Baseball!
We headed north for 4th of July to spend the long weekend eating well, playing a lot and taking in some famous sites. It was hotter than normal, but that didn’t stop an action-packed first part of the weekend – with Faneuil Hall, North End, a city tour and time at Fenway Park!
A Father’s Day on the Field
It turns out we may have spent a Father’s Day or two at Camden Yards. But there were a lot of firsts on this one, with special time on the field before the game. It was a 90-degree sauna of a day, with a game that went into extra innings, but it was unforgettable nonetheless!
A Quick Birthday Trip South
With the long weekend ahead of us, and a special day planned for our lovable birthday boy, we drove south to Richmond for some BBQ, brews and quality time with the boys. It was part victory in that B had “the best BBQ he’s ever had in Virginia” and part not with a constantly cranky…
A Relaxing Mother’s Day
At this stage in the boys’ life, the best part of Mother’s Day is often some much-needed time alone to decompress and breathe. With the boys out at a birthday party for the afternoon, I got this and more…plus some quality time at brunch in a new neighborhood spot.
Fiesta 5K 2019
Another year, another Fiesta 5K in support of ALS research! Team Big Walt and Mike showed up in full force to remember and honor 3 great men, once again finishing in the top 10 of fundraisers. While the commentary wasn’t as interesting as last year, Colin’s determination was just as strong – and he shaved…
On the Field Again
For the second time, we got up close and personal with the field at Nationals Park, as the Nats took on the Padres in an extra-inning winner. O was a more active participant this year, and while it was a long day, it was a good time by all!
