Celebrating Birthdays and Kickoff to Summer

Summer temperatures had finally arrived, and with it, birthday celebrations for Brian and Megan up in Maryland. A great weekend with the family, with baseball, good company and plenty of treats!

Birthday BBQ Fun

Another year, another 40-something birthday for Brian! But, it was Colin who claimed it as the “best day ever” as he got to try fondue for the first time. Cheese, chicken, chocolate – how can you go wrong?! Not stopping there, we spent an overnight in Richmond to indulge in some BBQ as it had…

Jumping All Over the Place!

May 2016 saw lots and lots of rain and cold. It wasn’t until the end of the month that spring and summer started to emerge. That meant finding lots of ways to expend energy, including a two-for-one day of fun with Aidan at the bounce house place and Josh at the trampoline park. Colin slept…

A Night Out on the Town

After a highly successful Fiesta 5K to benefit ALS research, we got to spend a fabulous afternoon and evening in Baltimore! While highly centered around good food in the Inner Harbor and Little Italy, we had the bonus of great family and friends to share it with!

Thomas Take Two!

After a fun (albeit much warmer) outing last year, the Tuckers set their eyes on a temporary Sodor to get a ride from Thomas the Train! This time, friends joined the journey to make it an even better affair! While it was a chilly, rainy day, it didn’t dampen the spirits of our junior train…

Meeting Savannah

While we spent most of our week on Hilton Head, we did enjoy a few days exploring Savannah – a beautiful city on the water. We ate well, took in some history and played in one of the coolest children’s museums around!

Southern Living on HHI

Spring break took us a little further south to Hilton Head Island this year. The laid-back break was just what we needed to recharge. But, the outdoor exploration, copious amounts of candy and ice cream and chilly pool and beach kept our heart rates up!

Under the Big Top

Colin’s first trip to the circus was to the extreme with Barnum and Bailey’s Xtreme Circus. The day began with snow (it was well into April), continued with extreme concession prices and ended with one crazy fun show! There were acrobats and animals, feats of strength and fireworks. A great time!

Friends or Superheroes?

It had been over four months, so we were due to get the “Hoya” kids together! The weather held out for an afternoon in the park, followed by pizza and “late night” March Madness. A great weekend with great friends!
