Moving into week two of the COVID-19 quarantine, and we spent it trying to keep spirits up as we juggle school, work and play.
Thanks to COVID-19, the entire world has been turned upside down. For us, thankfully, it just means hanging out at home as a family – juggling work, home school and down time. Here are some examples of how we spent the first days…which likely will turn into months!
For the second time in several years, we visited Clearwater during a cold front. It still didn’t stop us from having fun, however, with playground fun, a pirate cruise, mini golf and dinner overlooking the ocean!
For the second year in a row, we were lucky to catch some spring training baseball in warm, sunny Florida. The Red Sox, once again, fell to their opponent, but the many treats and 70-degree weather made up for it!
About once a year, the Golin gals gather for a weekend to reconnect and recharge – more than 15 years since sitting in the Quad. While we were unexpectedly down one, we enjoyed the food, spa and weather of Charleston for those who made it!
Some fateful bad weather steered us to Great Wolf Lodge in 2014, and we’ve been back every year since. This year proved just as fun (and exhausting) as ever!
The anticipation had been building, and the day had arrived – Colin’s first basketball game! He had been wanting to get on the court for a while, but there aren’t any programs until 1st grade. He faced his best friend’s school and gave it his all as part of the Glebe Niners!
Just as a band of snow arrived for the first time in January, the Tuckers set out for a quick escape from the cold for MLK Day weekend. The sun, sand and sea were an amazing respite before returning to reality!
We packed a lot into a short trip to Houston, including some cultural and culinary exploration, as well as time with friends to ring in the New Year!
