Getting in a Fall Festival

With all of the baseball and birthday fun, it was proving challenging to get in a local fall festival. But, we snuck a great one in – Cox Farms – with cousins. Slides, hayride, apple cider donuts…what’s not to love?!

Freedom in Fall

While the cats were away, the little mice played (with Nanie and Pop Pop)! A highlight was Summers Farm in Frederick and time in front of the fire!

A New Fall Destination

For the first time in two years, Megan and Brian got away and enjoyed a fall weekend somewhere new – Bedford, PA. We happened to be in town for the big Fall Foliage Festival, but mainly enjoyed the resort grounds and an afternoon in nearby Cumberland. Nothing like sleeping in and no alarms, the crisp…

Fully Fall in SW Virginia

While away for the weekend, we had a rare treat – a visit to a pumpkin patch and corn maze – to fully embrace fall. Overlook Produce and Farm Adventures, outside of Harrisonburg, had tons of pumpkins to pick from and a fun but slightly challenging corn maze. Here’s a recap…

Fall Fun Without the Festival

Fall festivals look very different this year. A favorite – Cox Farms – redesigned their fall experience to be drive through “hayride” and curbside market. They did a great job organizing a fun experience, and even provided space for a few safe photo opportunities and key fall items, including pumpkins, apple cider and doughnuts!

A Sweet Day

After a four-year hiatus, we returned to the land of chocolate – Hershey – for some sweets, rides and other treats. After a nearly 12- hour day, complete with a surprise bonus of family joining in the afternoon, it was a great, albeit exhausting, time.

Start of Fall at Cox Farms

Another fall season, and another great day spent at Cox Farms with cousins! It was sunnier and warmer than last year, but the hayride, apple cider doughnuts and pumpkin picking got us in the mood for the best season of the year!

Yay for Fall Fun!

We love our fall festivals, and probably none more so than Cox Farms. Since we know how popular this place can be, we enjoyed a fairly manageable crowd during its opening weekend. With cousins in tow, the boys managed to hit every attraction – some multiple times – to make for a fast-paced almost-fall day!

More Fall Festivities!

We needed one last taste of fall before the real cold set in, and we enjoyed it at Corn Maze in the Plains…and with cousins to make it even more special!
