Getting Some Air

As if visiting New England’s fair wasn’t enough, Colin was ready for more thrills during a weekend in CT. He got his fill of adventure enjoying an air show with his cousins Alex and Adam. Beautiful weather, hands-on with airplanes, pet rocks…what more could you ask for?!

The Big E!

The Big E is essentially six state fairs in one – all just 10 minutes away from lovely Suffield, CT. Not yet two years old, C was ready to conquer all the smells, sights, sounds and tastes possible. While the hundreds of sheep calling out was a bit much for one toddler to handle, overall,…

Babies in Baltimore

Ok, the Hoya kiddies aren’t exactly babies anymore, as was evident from their adventures in Baltimore during a lovely September day. We had a few adventures, including a visit to a WWII submarine and a boat ride (the first for several of the tots) over to Fells Point for lunch. A beautiful day with beautiful…

Playgrounding Around

After an action-packed overnight in MD and the heat of summer in full force, the rest of Labor Day weekend was meant for chilling out. We did so in style in the lovely neighborhood of Del Ray for brunch, and our own backyard.

An Inspiring 3.1 Mile Walk

We had an amazing day at the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research’s Fiesta 5K last year, and we were determined to step up our game (maybe not from a race time perspective, more from a fundraising one). Team Big Walt & Mike truly represented, convening about 40 family members and friends all touched by…

Signs of Spring and Easter!

Spring had finally sprung in April, just in time for Easter! We had to try out at least one egg hunt this year (besides with the family of course), and this year’s was at Great Country Farms. The egg hunt was a little chaotic to say the least, but at least there were farm animals,…

Padded Room Needed

Especially with a particularly long, cold winter, finding ways to expend toddler energy seemed a nearly endless endeavor. A temporary solution was to gather a few buddies and go wild in a soft playroom for an hour. Nap time was a success afterwards!

De Plane De Plane!

Enjoying a rare respite from the bitter cold, we headed to Gravelly Point Park after dropping off Nonna at the airport following a fun weekend together. It was C’s first time, and he loved every minute. Here are a few snapshots of his adventures with the airplanes.

Hitting the Tropics at Home

During the coldest day of the season (to date), we hit the tropics by visiting the US Botanical Gardens. It was Colin’s first time out and about near the Capitol. We took advantage of the last day of the gardens’ seasonal holiday displays, which included a giant rain set. It was a nice respite from…
