Out of this World Morning

On a fateful rainy day, the Pohorylo cousins set out to explore the Udavar-Hazy center to take in all the planes and space vehicles they could handle. It was a big museum, but we managed to hit every corner, including the obligatory gift shop stop on the way out!

A Nats Welcome

We had to welcome the Pohorylos to the DC area in style, and that meant sweating it out in the August heat at Nationals Park. It was multiple hours of fun and chaos, and we wouldn’t have wanted to enjoy it any other way!

The Graduate

It’s so hard to believe, but Colin’s time at daycare is soon coming to an end. What began in Infant Class 2 will end in K-Prep with Ms. Jen, Mr. Rafi and Ms. Leandra in August. But before summer camp began in full swing, we celebrated graduation season with a night honoring the soon-to-be-Kindergartners.

Mother’s Day 2018

Mother’s Day weekend came and went quickly with an action-packed weekend around town. What began with some tee ball and a trip to Shirlington for lunch, ended with a lovely brunch in DC and dinner by the house. Being spoiled was tough to give up!

Fiesta 5K in 2018

For the 5th year in a row, we’ve had the opportunity to participate in the Fiesta 5K to support the Johns Hopkins Packard Center for ALS research. Colin was in a competitive mood and determined to finish first for Team Big Walt and Mike (he succeeded with a time of 48 minutes and 31 seconds)….

Easter 2018!

Another year and another fabulous Easter! There were a few firsts this year though, as it was the first time the Easter Bunny visited the Tucker residence, and the first family Easter brunch. After the morning together, the afternoon was all about family time with great company, food and time outside hunting eggs!

Fun with the Animals

Four years earlier, Colin visited Sarasota Jungle Gardens for the first time. Now, it was Owen’s turn to enjoy the fun, too! Here was a highlight of our adventures…and our final night in Florida. A video with some action, too! https://youtu.be/n3bQXH3CEV4

Sun in the Sunshine State

Our first adventure of 2018 brought us to the Sunshine State for a quick trip to catch some sun and warmth. While it wasn’t warm by Florida standards, it was a welcome respite from the cold up North. In our first 24 hours, we enjoyed some nice meals out and even explored the underwater world…

Chilly End to 2017

In what seemed like a good idea when the temperature was still in the 50s, we got tickets to ring in New Years’ Eve at Busch Gardens’ Christmas Town. The below-freezing reality of the day was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to fit in a lot as we celebrated the end of…
