So, today marked our last day in the UAE. And, by the time most of you read this, we may already be Stateside. By mid-month, we had ramped up our goodbyes, enjoying people, sights, sounds and tastes for what was likely the last time. Here are a few to remember…
There will be more wrap ups, last-minute adventures from our final 2 weeks and insightful reflections to be shared in the weeks to come. But, for now, masalam al Emarat (goodbye UAE). 🙁
Out with the old, in with the new….we welcome Julie, the new Edelman fellow to Abu Dhabi with what else – a brunch!
A final Pearls & Caviar brunch – the single greatest UAE expat tradition!
Etihad Plaza – it seemed like ages ago when we called this home during our first few weeks
A final haircut at Golden Desert in Etihad Plaza – god, I’m spoiled here!
A final lunch with Mark and Annie – two of our favorite people!
Pani Puri – good stuff! We’ll miss Indian street food!
Sabah and Megan compare baby bumps before going separate ways
Dosas with the NYU Crew – I will miss them!
A last look at the Burj Khalifa….definitely my favorite example of UAE excess
