Except for being 15 minutes late to the staff meeting on her first day, Megan’s job has been going well. (She has since adjusted her departure time to account for the traffic!) With the commuting hiccup worked out, she hit the ground running. She put in some long hours preparing for this week’s client event in Dubai . Her and 3 of her colleagues arrived in Dubai last night and checked into the Palace Hotel – which is absolutely stunning! (click for more info). After checking out yet another apartment in Abu Dhabi, I joined her in Dubai late last night.

Dubai at night is simply amazing! Huge, beautiful buildings…palm trees with sparkling lights….fountain displays set to music (think Bellagio)…and of course the Burj Khalifa – tallest building in the world! But more on that later…

The timing for Dubai was great because I had my first interview with a recruiting agency in Dubai this afternoon. It went well although things work a bit differently here, which will take some getting used to. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, enjoy these few shots. I promise to take a lot more/better shots as I go out to explore Dubai (and work on my tan). Unfortunately Megan will be stuck inside all day teaching her client the in’s and out’s of public relations. But I think they at least have a fun outing planned for tomorrow night. We head back to Abu Dhabi on Thursday night.

The Palace Hotel is gorgeous! It will be rough hanging out by the pool for the next few days!
A view from our balcony at the hotel. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it was a beautiful view at night!
