So, the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula One Race events start tomorrow – three days of speeding around a track to vye for the season title. Four racers have a shot at taking it all: Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
We are definitely not avid race fans, and know nothing about F1, but this is the “Super Bowl” of Abu Dhabi, so everyone is getting involved in some way or another. Abu Dhabi knows they’re on the world stage, and they don’t want to disappoint. There’s activities throughout the city to make sure everyone has a good time.
Here’s our potential schedule, if we take advantage of everything being offered to us.
Thursday: Head to “Beats on the Beach” to check out a free concert that is being headlined by Sean Paul.
Friday: Make it to Yas Island for a Kanye West concert (normally you need F1 race tickets that day, but we scored free concert passes through the company that owns our business complex).
Saturday: Watch F1 qualifying race day and head to the Linkin Park after-race concert (tickets courtesy of a work connection).
Do you think we can do it?!
F1! Awesome! I know you two can do it. Have a blast and get a picture of the cars or racers for me.
