It may be hard to believe, but one year ago today we touched down at AUH and have been on one crazy adventure since!

It seems like yesterday we were snapping up bottles of wine and liquor at Duty Free, for fear that a liquor license couldn’t come soon enough…sweating in 100-degree heat at 9 pm because we were lugging more suitcases than a minivan could hold…walking into our pad at Etihad Plaza and feeling the comfort of Ikea furniture and kitchen wares.

A lot has happened since then to say the least – two birthdays, one anniversary, stays in four Emirates, a half dozen foreign journeys, countless sunsets and a lot of blood, sweat and tears in the name of work. That doesn’t even scratch the surface of the transformation this region’s gone through…from Egypt and Tunisia to the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden to the Royal Wedding (okay, that last bit was a little outside of the Middle East).

Here’s to continuing our great ride off into the desert…
