As much as we were a bit suprised to see Christmas pop up around this Muslim country, the same infusion of Christian (or is it commercial?) culture around Easter has swept the stores, restaurants and hotels of the UAE. There are Easter brunches, special Easter getaway packages, little kid clothes adorned with bunnies…the works!

Our favorite part? By far, it’s the Easter candy. What I consider the best candies on the face of the earth, Cadbury mini eggs and creme eggs, have graced the stores we frequent. And, what’s so fantastic about being here is that we get both US and UK Cadbury treats to sample (we all know the UK versions taste better, even though we’re American through and through).
